History

2002-2005: Formation and All We Know Is Falling
Main article: All We Know Is Falling

In 2002, at age 13, vocalist Hayley Williams moved from her hometown Meridian, Mississippi to Franklin, Tennessee where he met his brother Josh Farro and Zac Farro while he was attending a private school. [2] [3] Not long after arriving, she began taking vocal lessons with Brett Manning. [4] Prior to forming Paramore, Williams and bassist Jeremy Davis, along with friends Kimee Read, take part in a funk cover band called the Factory, while Josh and Zac Farro had practiced together after school. [2] [5] Other members of what will soon be Paramore had been "nervous about the whole female thing" because of Williams as vocalist, however, because they are good friends, he began to write for them. [6] the band was officially formed by Josh Farro (lead guitar / backing vocals), Zac Farro (drums), Jeremy Davis (bass guitar) and Hayley Williams (vocals) in 2004, [7] with the later addition of Williams 'neighbor' [2] Jason Bynum (vocals). According to Williams, the name "Paramore" comes from the mother's maiden name of one of their first bass player. [8] After the group learned the meaning of homophone of "lover" ("secret lover"), they decided to adopt the name, using the Paramore spelling. [6]

The first song the band wrote together was a "Conspiracy", which was later used in their debut album. During the next years, Paramore performed at venues outside the greater Nashville area, including the concert festivals Purple Door and Warped Tour. John Janick, CEO and founder of music label Fueled by Ramen, got a hold of Paramore demos and went to the Taste of Chaos performance in Orlando, Florida to see this band perform live. After a smaller private performance at a warehouse, the band signed to the label in April 2005. [9]

Paramore trip back to Orlando, Florida, but soon after arriving, Jeremy Davis left the band, citing personal reasons. The four remaining members of Paramore continued with the album, writing "All We Know" about his departure, and later deciding to base All We Know Is Falling around these concepts. The album artwork also reflected Paramore sadness for Hayley Williams explained, "The sofa on the cover of All We Know is Falling with no one there and the shadow walks away; it's all about Jeremy leaving us and we feel like there is empty space." [9] The recording time of three weeks, and promotional material for the album shows only four members left.

Before the tour, the band added John Hembree (bass guitar) for their line to replace Jeremy Davis [10th] During that summer, Paramore was featured on the Shira Girl stage the 2005 Warped Tour .. [9] When asked by the band, Jeremy Davis returned to Paramore, after five months apart, replace Hembree [11] All We Know Is Falling was released on July 24, 2005., And reached # 30 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. Paramore released "Pressure" as the first single, with a video directed by Shane Drake, but the song had failed to place in the charts. This video shows the band performing in a warehouse, eventually getting sprayed with water sprinklers as the storyline of some conflicts will occur. As of July, "Emergency" was released as the second single, the video again reuniting the band with director Shane Drake and show Hunter Lamb (guitar), who replaced Jason Bynum. [3] The video for "Emergency" showcased Paramore in another performance, this one set of bloody costumes. The third single, "All We Know", was released with limited airtime, with a video that consists of a collection of live performances and backstage recordings.

In January 2006, the band took part in the Winter Go West Tour where they played with the Seattle band Amber Pacific and The Lashes. In February, Hayley Williams is featured on "Keep Dreaming Upside Down" by Fall in October [12] In the spring of 2006,. Paramore is headlining tour opening for both Bayside and soon afterwards, The Rocket Summer. They toured the United Kingdom from October 5 to October 15, 2006, where they ended in London at The Mean Fiddler. The band then closed "Foo Fighters' My Hero" for the Sound of Superman soundtrack which was released on June 26, 2006. [13]

During the summer of 2006, Paramore played a portion Warped Tour, primarily on the Volcom and Hurley Stages, and their first night on the main stage is on the date in their hometown of Nashville. Paramore's first United States headlining tour began on August 2, 2006 for a sold out audience [14] with support from This Providence, Cute Is What We Aim For, and Hit the Lights with the final show in Nashville. That year they were voted "Best New Band" and Hayley Williams was selected as the # 2 "Sexiest Women" by readers of British magazine Kerrang!. [15]

In 2007, Hunter Lamb left the group to get married, and Paramore continued forward as a quartet [3]. Paramore, later named by British magazine NME as one of ten bands to watch in the "New Noise 2007" feature. [15] In January, the band played an acoustic set for the opening of the Warped Tour exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, [16] and Hayley Williams wore a dress in the video for "Emergency" was also on display at the exhibition. Paramore was featured in Kerrang! magazine once again, however, Hayley Williams believed the article was untrue picture of the band, especially since focused on her as a main component. 2007-2008: Riot! And other projects

Paramore began recording their second album, Riot! in January 2007, production ended in March without a rhythm guitarist Hunter Lamb (who left the band early in 2007 after marriage); [3] without Lamb, lead guitarist Josh Farro was required to play both guitar parts on the album. [20] Taylor York, which has been in a band with the Farro brothers before the two met Hayley Williams, joined as a replacement of the Lamb. [14] Once courted by producers Neal Avron and Howard Benson, [21] chose to record Paramore Riot! New Jersey with producer David Bendeth (Your Vegas, Breaking Benjamin), releasing the album on June 12, 2007. Riot! entered the Billboard 200 at number 20 on the UK charts at number 24, and 44 000 sold the first week in the United States [14.]

The name Riot! has been chosen because it means "a sudden explosion of uncontrolled emotion", and it is said that "it concluded" [21.] The first single from the album, released June 21, 2007, "is Misery Business", according to Williams, " more honest than anything I've ever written, and people who fit the emotion of music. " [22]

Summer of 2007 saw Paramore participating on their third Warped Tour and posting journals of their experiences on yourhereblog for MTV. In June they were declared by Rolling Stone as "Ones to Watch" [23] Paramore. Making their live debut on Fuse Networks daily show, The Sauce. The second single from Riot!, "Hallelujah", was released on July 30, 2007, and is only available online and on British television. Paramore was featured on the cover in February 2008 issue of Alternative Press magazine and voted "Best Band Of 2007" by readers. [29] the band was nominated for "Best New Artist" at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards presented on February 10, 2008 but lost to Amy Winehouse [30.] Early 2008 saw Paramore tour of the United Kingdom, supporting the album Riot!, Along with New Found Glory, Kids in Glass Houses and Conditions. [31] In early February 2008, the band began touring in Europe, [32] however on February 21, 2008, the band announced that they had canceled six shows due to personal problems. Williams wrote the band's web site that "broke the band that will provide 'the opportunity to go and work out" our personal problems'. On MTV's TRL, May 7, 2008, singer Hayley Williams said that the band is working on a new album and is expected to be released by next summer. Hayley Williams says she and her band have been practicing new songs during sound checks on tour. On May 19, 2008, Paramore announced on their website that they will go another tour, a tour called "The Final Riot",! Starting July 25 and ended on 1 September. On this tour, the band performed part of "Leonard Cohen". Alleluia [34] On September 2 2008, Paramore released a collaboration hoodie with Hurley Clothing based on the album Riot!. All proceeds go to the foundation Love146. [35]

Paramore's song "Decode" is the sole major movie based on the novel Twilight. Another song called "I Caught Myself" [36] also featured on the soundtrack of the film. "Decode" was released on October 1, 2008 on the Paramore Fan Club site as well as Stephenie Meyer's website. [37] [38] The band began shooting videos October 13 and was aired on November 3. Hot Topic listening party hosted for the soundtrack on October 24, 2008, and this album was released on November 4, 2008. Borders released a version of the soundtrack featuring exclusive acoustic version of "Decode."

The band release a live album called The Final Riot! on November 25, 2008. This album contains a bonus DVD with a full concert recorded in Chicago, as well as behind the scenes documentary. Until 9 April 2009, The Final Riot! was certified gold in the United States.
2009-present: Brand New Eyes and tourism

In January 2009, Josh Farro talk about the band's upcoming third album. Speaking to Kerrang!, Farro said: "We will try to [record] in Nashville. I think writing an album there will inspire us, and then if we note that there also would be much easier because we can sleep in bed at night day than in a hotel like any other 300 days of the year! We're not sure who will produce a record yet.
